Black Musk Perfume Oil by ITTAR is an alcohol-free perfume oil with a deep, dark musk at its centre. It blends saffron, incense, leather and honey with black musk and amber.
It opens with saffron and incense, warm, resinous and slightly smoky. The heart brings patchouli, leather and honey, which add richness and a touch of sweetness. The base of black musk, amber and vanilla is dense and smooth, and it stays warm and intimate on the skin. The overall character is mysterious and warm. It is darker than white musk, with more spice and resin, and it becomes softer and sweeter as the amber and vanilla come through.
Black Musk suits evenings, colder months and special occasions. It is worn by men and women, and it can be applied on the beard, neck or clothing. One or two dabs are enough. It also works well in small amounts during the day, dabbed only on the wrists.
Musk has been worn as an oil in Arabian perfumery for centuries. Without alcohol, it melts into the skin and develops slowly with body heat. The scent stays close, so it feels personal rather than loud.
